Buffalo Wild Wings Launches Mobile Sports Betting App

Buffalo Wild Wings is venturing into mobile sports betting with the launch of its own app. The nationwide sports bar chain partnered with MGM Resorts to release a mobile football game. The mobile app provides a sports betting experience through a free-to-play football game.

According to the sports bar spokesperson, the mobile football game allows customers to choose NFL teams, select fantasy performers, and bet on proposition picks. The launch of the app is just in time for the start of the NFL regular season.

The best sports betting software said the partnership will allow Buffalo Wild Wings to offer sports betting where it is legal through the BetMGM app. Aside from sports betting, the two companies plan to collaborate on other ventures, including a new sports bar at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Vegas.

Roar Digital was first established by MGM Resorts and betting software provider GVC Holdings in July 2018. The product doesn’t accept bets. However, players can win prizes such as trips to the Borgata Casino in NJ or to Las Vegas.

Although people can download the app and play anywhere, they need to visit a Buffalo Wild Wings branch from Thursday to Sunday to qualify for the prizes. At present, the sports bar chain has 1,200 restaurants in ten countries.

Pay per head reviews and news sites learned the two companies are planning to test a sports betting program in New Jersey later this year. The sports bar chain will also show point spreads and odds on screens at restaurants where sports wagering is legal.

At present, 19 states and the District of Columbia have legal sports betting. More states are likely to follow in the future. In addition, there are more than 1,000 Buffalo Wild Wings branches in the US. There will be many new venues for fans to place their bets this football season.
