Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa reopened last Thursday. However, the hotel welcomed gamblers with new social distancing gambling policies. They aimed at promoting hygiene and social distancing among patrons.
For starters, gamblers can’t enter the hotel with masks or any other face coverings. Also, the staff will take their temperatures. The hotel installed plexiglass barriers to divide dealers and gamblers at table games and poker.
According to CEO Jim Allen of Seminole Gaming, the casino committed to incorporate sanitary policies. Also, they promote a safety-first mentality for employees and guests. They want to ensure everyone that the casino is safe. That way, they don’t need to worry about getting sick while playing.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino reduced their capacity to 50 percent. Also, the casino floor has hand-sanitizing stations. The casino reduced the number of slot machines available at any time to increase the distance between gamblers, according to a sportsbook pay per head source.
When the casino reopened last Thursday, around 1,000 invitees were in attendance. They were the best customers of the casino, based on pay price per head online reports. Doors of the gambling facility opened at 7 p.m.
Allen said that reopening the casino meant 2,000 employees were back to work. However, the casino didn’t require workers to return to work. If a person didn’t want to return, then the hotel would respect the individual’s decision.
Also, the casino changed its attendance policies to be more compassionate to workers during the coronavirus pandemic. They won’t force employees to come to work if people want to stay home during the health crisis.
