An NBA brawl between players from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic led to the ejection of five players Friday night. All of this stems from a fight between Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Austin Rivers.
Both players are ejected from the game along with three others. They were Orlando’s Jalen Suggs and Minnesota’s Taurean Prince and Jordan McDaniels via 9DollarPerHead.com sources.
As the third quarter winds down, Bamba walks off the bench to confront Austin Rivers in front of the Orlando bench, sparking the on-court brawl. Then a fight broke, spilling over to several others on the court.
The replay showed Rivers right in front of the Magic bench as play was ongoing at the far end of the court. First, when Bamba came off the bench, Rivers immediately threw punches at him. Then, Suggs yanked Rivers away and swung him onto the court. But now Prince and McDaniels joined the brawl.
The fight appeared suddenly, with no previous sign of potential problems. However, a few moments earlier, Rivers missed a 3-point shot in front of the Magic’s bench, where both Bamba and Markelle Fultz were seen reacting while River ran back up the court. According to sportsbook pay per head sources, Austin Rivers took the issue with Mo Bamba’s comments.
“The play is under review for a hostile altercation,” referees immediately announced.
